Abandoned at an early age, Relkin never really knew who his mother or father were. As he grew older, wealth and glory weren't a part of Relkin's vocabulary. Nor were family values such as gods or reliability. He learned by trial and error, barely making enough money by selling wood he found out in the forest to the fletchers. Steadily, he grew wiser. He bought himself an axe so he could make a little bit more money. Then while chopping upon a giant Yew tree a low glow caught the corner of his eye. He turned around to the woods rapidly catching fire behind him. Scared for his life Relkin tried to run but in an Instance the flames had him surrounded. The next instance Relkin could see everything of the world, corrupt guards taking bribes, mothers selling their own daughters, muggers killing peasants for the few possessions they had. Then he saw what appeared to be the deteriorated ruins of Britannia. After the fire, Relkin found himself in a different part of the forest. One side gave way to a grand lake, but more importantly nested in the woods on the opposite side was the old shrine of Justice. It was at this moment that he decided that wrong needed to be stopped, evil purged and balance restored. Teaching himself how to read, he frequented the Empath Abbey and its great tombs. One text, ornated with flames, spoke much of Justice and Honor. It was a book about Furian a great bird bathed in Flame. With this calling, Relkin has a new reason for his axe.
